hi guys , i have ups battery rated 12v 5ah , and i have a load which is 5v 2amp (mediatek ofc tx/rx converter) ,
i am suffering with power interruptions , my ups giving me only 18 minutes backup . so i decided to make a circuit from ups battery can u please help in this design

Have you built power supplies before this?

Do you wish for your ups to provide power with no interruption when blackout hits? This will require further effort, if it is even possible.

my idea is , my ups circuit is charge the battery , and i utilize battery power with my circuit to power my " LOAD" (mediaconverter 5v/2Amp ) , this is the way i get more backup time to my battery

i forget to say mediatech converter has power supply which is rated 220v -5v 2amp adapter , so i decided to remove the adapter , and power up with my circuit

Concept of buck converter. 12V stepped down to 5V 2A.

This is not necessarily a complete circuit. The inverter is a 'shortcut' component, to illustrate how the feedback signal operates.

For the control circuit you can choose from a number of options:
commercial IC, or homemade regulator, or pulse generator with adjustable duty cycle.

The inverter is a 'shortcut' component

I meant the inverter logic gate, used here for its extremely high gain.
