Hi everyone,

I am using an technology which provides the IO cells with layout but no schematics and symbols. In order to facilitate the creation of the pad ring, we made the schematics and symbols for the IO cells that we need. Nevertheless, such cells has not an associated netlist. I think there is a file with the netlists of all IO cells of the library. Now i can create a schematic with the IO cells but i cant generate the netlist because my IO cell have not an associated netlist.
There is a way to associate permanently the netlist of that file to the corresponding schematic and symbol of the corresponding cells? something like import netlist or similar.

I would appreciate tips about how to do it.

Thanks in advance

In Cadence Virtuoso ADE You are able to create a config view and inside it bound a proper netlist to a cell

Hi, thanks by the answer. It hasnt work. Such netlist file is a file with extension .cdl which looks like Spice (i never programmed in spice, i saw some simple examples) but i am not sure. The file contains all the IO cells together: .SUBCKT .... .END with no GLOBAL. I have never went in depth to the cadence file system. should I create an Spice view in the cells that i need and copy the corresponding code from the .cdl file to later use the Config? Is there another way? can it be imported? how?

Thanks again
