I have an old PADS PCB board file that I need to re-use a lot of the parts from. Unfortunately, I do no have the libraries that were used to make this file. Is there a way to export the PCB decals in the board file to a library for use on a new board layout? This is in PADS 9.2

Thanks,
Mike

I did something like that in PADS 2009, it is indeed possible, but I had to add each footprint individually to the current library in use. Given that this was made more than five years ago, I do not remember the exact steps, but it was somewhat intuitive, like just by clicking on the component with the right mouse button.

Select components, right mouse click, save to library. This give the options of parts and/or decals.

If you do not have a library, then create it first. File: Library: Create New Lib. Then select your components and save to that library.
