Inductive load switching with freewheel diode from MOSFET

On the **broken link removed** of the N channel mosfet Buz11,
on page 6, figure 5, I do not see what diode is under test, the freewheel diode(single diode and the MOS diode?), or the one of the Buz11 written on the right side D.U.T ?
 

Other diagrams have DUT beside the mosfet diode at bottom, so that is likely to continue in figure 5.

I believe the A-B wires are connections for spike suppression, and showing two methods to choose from.
 

I think D.U.T stands for Device Under Test, meaning they are testing the low mosfet. However, the low diode of that mosfet (the DUT one) is never going to be forward biased resulting in testing the A-B mosfet diode and fast diode recovery time ?

That leads me to say that the A-B connection mosfet is also a BUZ11 mosfet ? or other type?
