I have planned to buy Sierra Wireless module HL6528. which works on 850/900/1800/1900 MHz. Do I need to buy license from Indian government to use the module in this frequency in India?

Which are the license free freqencies ranges in India?

Please help

you need to certify the module on your product to use it!

HL6528 is a GSM module. It can be only operated in a GSM network with a SIM card from the network provider.

The module has the necessary approvals for most countries. If you are designing a retail product, additional certifications may be required.

I have planned to import a instrument which contains this HL6528 GSM/GPRS module.

Do I need to get import license from WPC to sell the instrument?

i dont think you need specific import license. you may need to ask the manufacturer if the instrument with HL6528 is certified to use it in india/chennai. if its not, you can ask the manufacturer to certify it for you or you can certify yourself.
