Im trying to do a simulation for Single Phase Controlled by using pspice. But i have some problem on Vpulse, my simulation not same with the theory.

Here is my circuit
Capture.JPG

Vm = 339.4 V
Average Voltage Output = 203
Freq = 50Hz
Firing angle is = 30 degree

What to set for Vpulse?

Hi,

please post a scope picture of the voltage across R1.

Maybe you see what happens on this picture.

***
You using a voltage measurement across R1.
What does it show?
* Average voltage?
* RMS voltage?
* actual voltage?

Hi KlausST,

Here are the result for the simulation across R1
2.JPG

it suppose to show the peak voltage..
I dont know whether i set the vpulse right or wrong..

Hi,

Now you see what happens.

Your phase control is not correct. It´s obvious, because positive and negative halfwave is not symmetrical. And it should stop at exactely zero cross.

***
Calculation. See the waveform from 10ms to 20ms.
Ignore the negative going cycle at the beginning.
The rising edge is at about 6.7ms
and it is conductive for about 5ms.

calculations:
One halfwave is at 50 Hz is 10ms = 180°.
For 30° conductivity you need a delay from zerocross of 180° - 30° = 150°
150° in time is: 10ms * 150° / 180° = 8.33 ms (delay from zero cross)
conductivity time (30°) = 10ms * 30° / 180° = 1.67ms.

conclusion:
Your delay is 6.7ms, but it should be 8.33ms
and your ON time is 5ms, but it should be 1.67ms.

Thanks for reply Klaus
Sorry to ask more...can u specific which one should i change

For S2
V1 = 0
V2 = 5
TD = 1.67m
TR = 1n
TF = 1n
PW = 8.33m
PER = 20m

For S1
V1 = 0
V2 = 5
TD = 1.67m
TR = 1n
TF = 1n
PW = 8.33m
PER = 20m

im a bit confusing about set the Vpulse

cd22.JPG

Yes i know
PER = Period
PW = Pulse Width
TR= Time rise
TF = Time Fall
TD = Time delay

Hi,

Sorry to ask more...can u specific which one should i change
I don't want to do your job, but I want to help you to find the solution to your own.

So just disable S2 by setting V1 = V2 = 0, the rest is not important.

Then just play around with S1: Td, Pw

For S2
V1 = 0
V2 = 0
.
.
.

For S1
V1 = 0
V2 = 5
TD = 1.67m
TR = 1n
TF = 1n
PW = 8.33m
PER = 20m

After you found the solution for S1, then find the solution for S2.
