Is it possible to judge the improvement in the phase noise based on the pss sim?

Hi,

I am trying to do something new to an existing VCO architecture and I found an improvement in the phase noise. Though I am not able to mathematically (I am able it only intuitively) explain the improvement at this point in time, I would like to know if PSS results are accurate enough. The question might sound vague, but I guess you got the point. I am not able to explain it mathematically and might have to spend some time for that, but if the PSS results aren't proper, it might go in vain. Is there any way to just cross check it?

Please check the noise contributors and check which noise contribution has decreased that caused the change in phase noise. Then, run a PXF or PAC for that port and check the transfer function from that port got changed. This can quantify how your new architecture gave an improvement. All the best!
