For Broadband(6-16GHz) Design of Power Divider i have to use different resistors. And my design is approx. 0.48" * 1.24" and if i use (1206,0805 or 0603) thin film resistors then their size is not compatible with power divider . so my question is what kind of resistors are used in such a broad band model and is printed resistors on the design is different from thick film resistors?
Since i am beginner and in the learning stage. Seeking some guidance from u Expertise.

Always Thankful.

The large resistors can't be considered as lumped elements at these frequencies, so you'll model it as distributed resistor films on a substrate, e.g. Al2O3. Take care that the resistors are suited for microwave by not having excessive calibration cuts.

I am in a dilemma that for this high frequency design if i use distributed resistors it will create parasitic effects at the terminals(1206,0805). And if i use thin film resistors as lumped resistors . So are they modelled during simulation prior to fabrication . I mean i have no basic idea searching. please provide me some idea.

16 ghz? 0402, and try to find some that do NOT have wrap around metallization at both ends!!! too much capacitance.

For those microwave frequencies, whatever resistors you use, to reduce the parasitic inductance a good option is to place 2 or 3 resistors in parallel (on top of each other).
Doing this, always I got better frequency response at high frequencies.
