I am transferring my circuit from Pspice to cadence (spectre) to do the simulation. The captioned title is the problem I am facing. In Pspice, the output of the voltage controlled current source (VCCS) and voltage controlled voltage source ( VCVS) could be a function with the current of a branch in this circuit.
While in cadence (spectre), the value of the VCCS and VCVS could only be set to a simple value or a variable. I couldn't do the same thing as exactly as in Pspice.
Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks very much

why don't you use the keyword - "simulator lang=spice" and use the same pspice circuit to simulate in spectre.

Components for behavioral simulations are later extensions to original Berkeley SPICE language. They use different syntax in different SPICE derivatives. Read the Spectre reference about bsource component.

Actually I need to merge the circuit in pspice and spectre, performing some sort of integration simulation. Could that be realized by using the method you suggested? Thanks very much for replying.

I sometimes perform simulations having designs partial in pspice/spice syntax and partial in spectre syntax. I use the same method with spice circuit/commands go below lang=spice and spectre commands go below lang=spectre.
It works pretty well for me. If spectre has some difficulty in resolving something, it would let you know.

Few discussions on same topic in below forums -

Do you say, Spectre can understand PSpice behavioral source syntax?

Yes. I've simulated PSpice behavioral E,F,G,H devices in Spectre.
