[moved] 6-valued and 8-valued logic "Digital Systems Testing & Design Abramovici"

In the Digital Systems Testing and Testable Design book by Miron Abramovici, it is mentioned that it is possible to detect the static hazard in digital system using 6-valued logic and dynamic hazard using 8-valued logic.

This 6 and 8 valued logic business confused me, did anyone read the book and can explain this concept?

Thank you guys in advance.
