Hi All
I need a 12V rechargeable battery and I have selected panasonic UP-VW1245p1 lead acid battery. it mentions in the datasheet that it requires Initial Current 1.25A or smaller and controlled voltage 13.6 - 13.8 V. What sort of charger I should look for?

what is the Ampere-hour of the battery?
This is first needed.

But basically, lead acids have a charging regime which is constant current followed by constant voltage

So at first you charge at C/10 until the terminal voltage gets to 10V
Then you start charging at your charge rate, then when the voltage gets up to around 13V or so…..you keep the voltage at that voltage.

What charge rate you use depends on the Amp.hour of the battery, and how quick you need it to charge, because its pointless charging at 2C if 0.1C will do.

Typically, if poss, charge it with that current that charges it up quick enough, but does not need you to cool the battery while charging
