I am looking for a low noise, high hfe transistor faster than mat12, with BVCeo at least 10V, and noise figure
close to ideal (Rm) at Ic= 1mA

Some I am looking at: 2sc2545, 2sc3324, That300 series.

The Ceb on the mat12 is limiting my frequency response.

How do I even search for one?

Most "low noise" are RF and have very low BVceo and low hfe. Some billled as low noise have en=3nV/rthz at Ic=1mA
others do not even have the noise specified!

It's pointless to compare audio low noise with RF transistors.

Unfortunately you didn't even mention the frequency range of interest, particularly does the noise corner frequency matter?

I can get an amplifier F3db about 1Mhz with mat02, and would like at least 2X that. The 1/f noise corner matters, but I can accept worse performance
at low frequency if I get higher F3db. The mat02 has very low 1/f corner for voltage noise.
