We are using the SI9241AEY Bus Transceiver. It interfaces between a microprocessor and the communication bus which services the Engine Control Module and the electronic sensor and control system for a small engine. The system uses the Keywords 2000 Protocol which is a single wire protocol similar to LIN and in contrast to CAN which is a 2-wire protocol.

Vishay has ceased manufacturing this chip for whatever reason. So I would like to know if there exists on the market a replacement for this chip which is in manufacture. Ideally I would like for it to be the same footprint and the same pinout, and of course having compatible specifications, that is, directly replaceable without having to change the PCB design. The package is 8-SOIC.
