I want to design a controlled source for driving a high intensity led array for automotive application. I want to use operational amplifiers and discrete components. Do you have any documentation about that? I'd appreciate your help. Thanks.

There is the resistive drop method. Turn on a transistor to varying degrees, to make the LED brighter or dimmer.

Or, you can switch the power to the LED on and off, at varying duty cycle (pwm). This is more efficient than the resistive drop method.

There are many ways to achieve pwm.

Hi,

May I ask why opamps?
There are lots of automotive LED drivers..
