Dear All, I have designed antenna array at 3.5 GHz. Now i am looking to modulate the information on the antennas. I had an idea to use UART or encoder ICs with micro-controllers. but i don't understand how to shift signals to 3.5 GHz. Also suggest me most practical technique to modulate data e.g. FSK, PSK, QPSk etc. Please share where shoulld i start looking. Resource like links and books will be very helpful.

Thanx dear for trying to figure this out for me. But still information is not sufficient. First off all, mst of the things described are theoretical. i am looking for practical solution. like which IC should do the job. I want to minimize the no. of ICs. Also I need experts opinion on the matter. If you could take time to explain to me on circuit level a bit. That would be more helpful,
Best Regards,
Rizwan

I believe there's no single chip transceiver for 3.5 GHz, because it isn't a license-free communication band. You find many single chip solutions e.g. for 2.45 GHz.

A straightforward solution would be to refer to a sofware defined radio platform, e.g. HackRF One or Rad1o.

Thanks alot FvM. I go through HackRf One which is exactly as i am looking for. But As an academician, i am looking to design one for my self. I have gone through the architecture of typical transceiver with off the shelf components mixers, fiters, mcus, pll, LNAs, PAs etc. what difficulties i could face, how much time could it take and if anyone could provide me a simpler document to design one that would be great help. Thanks
