As you know, offline LLC converters follow an upstream PFC stage. At start-up, it is standard procedure to keep the LLC converter disabled until the PFC stage has gotten up into regulation.
Therefore, why does the ICE2HS01G LLC controller not have an enable/disable pin?

ICE2HS01G LLC controller datasheet:
https://www.infineon.com/dgdl/Infin...n.pdf?fileId=db3a30432a40a650012a458289712b4c

As you know, the LLC converter must firstly be held in disable mode, until the PFC is in regulation, then the LLC converter must be enabled, and it must then start up via its soft start function.
The ICE2HS01G chip can only be held off by pulling its LOAD pin down to ground. –However, the soft start capacitor charges up despite the LOAD pin voltage being grounded….therefore, when the LOAD pin is released in order to enable the ICE2HS01G, then there would be no soft-start.
How do we get around this? The datasheet does not say.

Should we also ground the SOFT-START pin as well as the LOAD pin when holding the chip off? The datasheet does not say if this is allowed

pin 2 is not it?

thanks, but no pin 2 , if taken low, latches the chip off for good.
In the end , we have disabled it by jointly pulling LOAD pin low and discharging the SS cap with a BJT....we hope this is ok...datasheet doesn't tell.
