hi,

I want to design a constant current led driver with the following specs

Vin : 90VAC - 300VAC @ 50Hz

vout : 30VDC to 42VDC
Iout : 1400mA
PF : >0.96
THD : <10
Eff : >85%
Surge Protection : 6KV
Protections. Open Circuit Protection, Short Circuit Protection

I need help in topology selection (i think fly back will work). How can i implement constant current source with fly back.

do you know how to do constant voltage smps?
Its the same principle with constant current, but instead of regulating the voltage across the lower divider resistor, you are regulating the voltage across the current sense resistor.
Flyback is ok....what about pfc flyback in bcm.....your up near 60W max.
I think lighting must be pfc'd above 25w. So pfc boost then 2tran forward..

Is there any application note for constant current source fly back converter ?
kindly explain "So pfc boost then 2tran forward.."

Hi,

If you try to find schematics for LED drivers, I recommend to look at the IC manufacturers internet pages.

I have to use uc38** series for this purpose.

will it work . i need explanation for the output side.
