connecting signal grund(5v smps 0v) to earth ground

can i connect directely signal grund(5v smps 0v) to earth ground are i can use a resistor are capacitor if so kindly tel the value of the passive component.

Hi,

As long as there is no other connection you can add a resistor or capacitor to earth ground.

Why do you want the connection? --> Then one can decide what values to use.

Be careful when working with dangerous mains voltage.
Especially take car when you use a removable connection to earth ground.
Maybe you have to use special safety devices, like X2 capacitors.
You have to comply with safety regulations of your country.
