Seeking relay with >=3500V dielectric strength between contacts.

Hello,
We are seeking a relay with dielectric strength of >=3500V between open contacts, and between contact and coil.
We need it for 25Amps current
It is in a DC circuit.
There will be no current flow in it at the time its switched on or off.
It will be sited in a 400V rail.

However, neither digikey or any manufacturers site sorts on dielectric strength, we have opened hundreds of datasheets , but none conform to this.
Do you know of any?

The below relay looks good but doesn't say what is the dielectric strength between contact and coil

Devices with this Voltage rating tend to be called Contactors, not Relays but then they tend to switch large currents.

Something about your specs is inconsistent making choices uncommon.

2 or three relays in series would do it with snubbers across each, need to check the coil to contact distance, 3.5mm min needed for 3500Vac, as the top coil will have the most voltage near to it, also coils in series is recommended for similar opening times. Plenty of good 30 or 40A relays from El-14, e.g. 9659013
or 9659013 (6V coil) or similar...

Only application I can think of for something like this would be a medical cardiac defibrillator.
A quick Google search turned up another version of that Gigavac relay especially designed for defibrillators..

You are on the right track.

If its rated for 10Kv, that would include contact to coil voltage rating.

Its literally just to make a 7kw, mains isolated smps bidirectional by literally swapping over its inputs and outputs (with the relays) when the power needs to go the other way.

Looks like you are still behind that square wheel thing...

3500 V dielectric strength suggests you are trying to implement reinforced insulation between input and output of your converter? You'll need to consider some kind of mechanical contact interlock. Also realize that dielectrical strength of a contact doesn't include the capability of opening the circuit under load, which creates serious issues to prove the safety of your switchover design.

Regarding vacuum contactors, price is probably a sufficient reason to avoid it.
 

Its just that we need to design a 7kw, bidirectional, mains isolated SMPS which can boost up or down in either direction. The only way to do this without mechanical switches is with a symmetrical LLC converter, (as in post #13 of this... https://www.edaboard.com/threads/342558/ ) but this has serious problems concerning the difficulty in getting the operating frequency sufficiently far enough away from the frequency below which capacitive operation occurs (with the inherent disastrous reverse recovery of the bridge diodes).

We'd buy this off-the-shelf , but it is not on-the-shelf anywhere.
