Hi. I want to measure and display AC voltage of around 200 - 220 V using an AVR and a 16x2 display. Now I've got the figured out , but I don't know how to sense and measure the voltage. To elaborate , the circuit is an AC voltage controller and I'm using the AVR to supply trigger pulses (PWM) to a triac. Apart from this , I've also got it displaying voltage , current and duty cycle info on the 16x2. Now , I want to display the output voltage to the load on the LCD , since it varies as I vary the duty cycle of the PWM trigger pulse to the triac (I'm using integral cycle control. Thats what the PWM is for.) . How do I go about doing this ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks !

I think no need of TRIAC here.

Simply make circuit of voltage divider for ac voltage, then to the ADC pin of Uc.
For current measurement, use small size of CT (Current transformer), connect it to the ADC pin of uc.

You will get the proportional values for the varying input values.
