Hi all,

I'm looking to a Volt, Watt and Ammeter using a microcontroller to be used in a home made power supply that regulates the negative rail. The range must be 0-20V and 0-50A and of course 20*50=0-1.000W and if possible with labels in portuguese like Tensao for Volts, Corrente for the Ammeter and Potencia for Watts but other languages are welcome since you inform the meaning of labels. This circuit is just to inform these values so the PSU doesn't need it as an active circuit to be part of the regulator.

Will be a very interesting if a 24 hour clock be added using a RTC chip like AD1307 or equivalent. At least in my station a clock will be very welcome.

Regards and 73,

Hi,

Hi,

There are so many ways and requirements. Therfore below are a lot of questions.
It is not necessary to answer all questions immediately, but the more the better.
You should ask yourself about your requirements.

************

DC voltage and current - or AC?

Decide what you want to know:
Voltage / current
* immediate value
* low pass filtered (filter frequency, time constant?)
* average (over what time?)
* RMS (over what time?)

Do you need some headroom? with voltage and current?
How often do you want to measure?
How often do you want to output?
Is it for a regulation loop or just for a display? (What display type?)
Do you want some interface to a PC or so?

What resolution do you want?
What accuracy do you want?

Do you want to build it on your own?

Klaus
