High current limiter

LM317 can be used as a current regulator, but the max current is 1.5Amps. How can I increase this using a transistor. I need 3A current regulator with input 35 volts
 

Note that the short circuit dissipation in the current limiter is 105W so you will need a very healthy heat sink unless the short circuit is only momentary.
 

Sorry my mistake I typed 3A instead of 30A
