hi
I am desining a antenna that consists of a circular ground plane, probe is located at the center and arond it there is 8 paralelpied elements constitute wave polarizer that convert linearly polarized wave generated by probe into circularly polarized wave. Here length of probe is 13.5mm, dimension of parallelpiped element is 62mm x 6 mm x10mm and radius of ground plane is 32.5mm. The operating frequency is 5.3GHz. Pls help me to find the size of air box.

Hi

When I try to design this antenna with air box having dimension 200 mm x 200 mm x 80 mm, it shows an error in hfss as perfect E boundary of ground does not touch the radiation surface. Pls help me to solve this error.

As in it gives you an error if the ground plane doesn't touch the radiation surface? That doesn't sound right.

A radiation boundary needs to be appropriately large, generally a quarter wavelength away from any radiating point is a sufficient minimum. If you're finding errors, just make it larger.

hi

I try to increase the size of air box. But it shows the same error as " Boundary 'PerfE1_gnd' is an infinite ground but does not touch a radiation surface." I really need your help to solve this problem

You must have a assigned an infinite ground plane to one of the sides. Go under the menus under the setup on the left hand side and select Boundaries, then expand and delete the infinite ground plane one (PerfE1). You will also need to assign a radiation boundary to the vacuum box.

Thank you sir, the error is removed. But when I run this design , the graph obtained for reflection coefficient is entirely different from the expected graph. What are the parameters has to be tuned to obtain the original graph. Pls help me
