hello everyone

I want buy a wifi booster to let my router gives a long range in urban
This wifi booster is 5W.

can anyone help me to know what's the range or if this is a good product ?
**broken link removed**

thank you

range is dependent on where it is placed, what sort of antenna, what type of walls etc it has to TX and RX through
If it was outside on a high pole with a high gain antenna and clear path it could do 100 km easy

is it a good product ... who knows ??

just make sure that power level is legal in your country

Dave

Hello
The power isn't a problem
it's 5 watt
the antenna is high gain omnidirectional.
there's some building ( concrete so or no ?!)
no clear path ( 3 or 4 building in the path).
thank you

A range of a COMUNICATION SYSTEM (and Wifi is a short range system) depends not only on transmitter power but also on antenna gain on both ends, and receiver sensitivity. If you have an obstacle on path like a building, better than increasing power is to find a way to get around that obstacle. One way is to use a buffer transceiver, or a reflector located to direct the signal ray to the receiver.

Increasing power may not help but cause interference to neighbor wifi users. You should count on that the affected party will contact authorities and you may be fined for using higher than allowed power.
