Hi. On sunday 10 or saturday 9, may, 2015, saw on Vesti24 television, a report of a radio controlled 'robot' riding on top of a football. A real foot ball, the round one. Balancing on it and driving it to any direction... fast !
Cannot find it (as a video) at Вести.Ru; but my russian is not very good to discern the site crevices or send a message to them asking for such. Can anyone locate the video ? Was on part of a electronics technology section of the programming.
Thank you.

Thanks.
No, the one shown on russian television was about 12 cm diameter, about 4 cm tall, wireless, obviously with wheels under it, placed on top of a plain foot ball causing it to move in any direction, fast, while keeping its own balance.

Like a 'segway', but instead of propelling itself caused the ball to roll for motion.

The one you mention may have this mechanism; which am unsure if would produce motion on straight line.

Well, a consumer version finally appeared on the market. BB-8 is now on ebay.

Hope not to be spanked as this perceived as thread bumping. Just completing the thread with the finding.
