Understanding GSM using European Telecommunications Standards Institute Documents

hi all,

I'd like to learn about GSM it's Architecture , modulation , Protocols Every thing , but instead of going and get a book on GSM from amazon or any where i'd like to use the European Telecommunications Standards Institute Standard Documents so I opened the website searched for GSM and found many documents non of them contained real technical information, I 'd like any one here please to Tell me how to relay on myself and on these Documents to understand the whole system , I mean how to get the Documents that contain information about he whole system ... thanks
 

The problem with GSM documents downloadable from ETSI is that there so many. Take the time to identify some basic specification documents. Their refernces chapter will lead you to the other documents.
