Hi

I want to export from HFSS to ADS , I go through this page https://www.edaboard.com/threads/220820/ but I have problem with naming the layers??
it is mentioned in there that
Go to the Advanced page and define the names of the DXF layers in your file.

How can i find the DXF layers in my design?:bang::bang:

Thank you for your help

I just mention it here what I did to the others.the dimentions are not the same because both softwares should have the same dimentions. I just fing that when I import to the ADS, the default dimention in ADS changed to mil , so I just changed the dimention to mil in HFSS through unit menu and it works. if there is a error, you can just for layout.lay file , create a empty file with notepad. so at last it works.:thumbsup::)

Hi fatima2010,

When I convert from HFSS to ADS, I export from ADS as GDSII (.gds) file. Aside from having to remap the layers in ADS, I haven't had any issues.
