What is the derivation for the initial and final voltage of compensated attenuators?

The voltage division is worked out for DC, R1/R1 + R2. Then the time constants (CR) of both resistors are matched. e.g. a CRO with 50 pF// 1Mohm input. Divide by 10 attenuator, 9 M ohm in series with a 5.5 pF cap across it.
