Digital clipping detector?

Hi. I'm thinking of making a digital clipping for audio amplifiers. As it can be difficult to spot clipping when playing music on a scope it would be awesome to have a little box that would tell me when the music is clipping. I've ordered one of these: https://www.mouser.com/ds/2/405/snas192f-285425.pdf and with an Atmega328p I think I'll be able to get around 450kS/s. The idea is to analyze the data to see if the voltage level remains unchanging for a prolonged time (clipping), but I'm not sure if I can make it reliable enough. One issue might be to distinguish between clipping at 10Khz and a non-clipping 20hz wave as the top of both waves will look pretty flat, but then again clipping at higher frequencies might not be that interesting in the first place. One idea might be to try and find the roof of the output voltage, only trying to detect clipping around the highest voltage that has recently been read. Is it possible to make a reliable clip detector with a chip like this?
