PCI

Hi, I am new to FPGA and VHDL.

My job requires me to design a PCI board using Altera PCI development board

Has anyone used that before and is there any method to hasten the design process???

Re: PCI

altera's development board has PCI interface ,and you can use there PCI core to design.

64bits PCI design is diffcult, but 32 bits PCI desiging is easy.

Re: PCI

At opencore site the projects are confusing I can't really find out how to design?

Do you have to design only printed circuit board or you must programm FPGA too? Altera provides schematics of its development boards for free. Just download it and use as an example. The fastest way to programm FPGA is to find IP core of PCI controller. Look at web. I have seen some HDL-programms on that terms. Good luck!
