Hi all,

got board off ebay, SIM900 mini.
Is there someone who got it to work with usb to serial but without onboard max232 and also with some uC?

Without MAX232 IC it is not possible to make USB to serial converter work

Not quite right. There are USB-to-serial adapters with logic level interface.
 

I have one, but don't get pin layout to interface to them.
