Hi all

I need to use differential input and output type balun but rflib only has with single and differential. Please let me know how to get differential input and output type balun with centre tap or may be how can I make using two baluns of single ended?

I guess you are asking about a specific design tool. Unfortunately you forgot to mention it.

Hello,

balun is balanced-to-unbalanced transformer as I know, and if so, you just try to find unexisting thing :)

There are also ideal_balun and xfrm ideal components in analogLib, second one has dif input and dif output, but no center taps... Also, I believe you can build any ideal transformer with inductors and "mind" components.

P.S. I think that you can build this from two ideal baluns from rfLib (you need just to set proper losses and impedances), unfortunately I don't have rfLib library and can't check it.

I am talking about cadence virtuoso. In this I didn't find any balun with differential input, output with centre tap (total 5 pins). It has only with single input, diff out and centre tap (total 4).

I tried to connect two ideal baluns but it doesn't helped.
