why do you need a laser module?

Well those tiny laser diode also spec-ed at 150mW and 533nm green laser.

can you not use those tiny diode laser instead of the large moduled one?

Am I missing something?

Because those units you linked to have all the driver/cooling etc parts as well

are you saying inside that module there is the same TO 3 terminated laser diode ?

That linked module appears to be overengineered with a too massive heat sink for only 150mW. Price seems surprisingly low too for that construction...

Unless there is a difference in chinese milliwatts and real milliwatts. Rethinking, ... they are all chinese. Never got that clear comparing with :

----> **broken link removed**
----> **broken link removed**
With driver circuitry and heat sink barrel. And they do work.

maybe not the identical one but one of similar type :)

.................

probably designed for long periods of use / hi duty cycle
