Hi Amigos,
I am new to this forum & i need ur much appreciated help for BMS connection .
I am getting RS232 signal from Turbocor I/O Board and RS485 signal from Carel PCO3 controller .
I want to connect both these signals to modscan software. Unique device ID(address) will differentiate both of them in modscan software . I have tried converting RS232 signal to RS485 signal and then connecting that in parallel with the RS485 signal which i am getting from PCO3 controller but to no avail :?: . In modscan i was able to detect only signals from PCO3 controller but not from the converted signal from Turbocor I/O board . Also suggest me link to some good RS232 to RS 485 converter .

Thanks & Regards,
dor4 ;-)

first of all rs232 is full duplex , while rs485 is half , so it is not direct conversion.
use max232 to convert rs232 to ttl , then use max485 to convert rs485 to ttl , but u will a need a control signal for max485 to choose if u are in recieve or transmit mode . or use can use pull up or pull down if u have only one way communication ..

hope that helps
regards
