[AVR] Do you have 8x8 matrix and Atmega8A project ?

Hello guys. My name is Andrew and I'am from Poland.
I have plenty of Atmega8A, i have also MAX7219 and 8x8 dot matrix 1088BS > **broken link removed**
I've got also arduino UNO clone and arduino nano clone.
I would like to use Atmega8A because i have many of these.
I would also prefer to directly connect 8x8 matrix to Atmega8A without using MAX7219 if it is possible.

Do you guys have any link to similar project based on Atmega8A and link to program to burn it to uC?

Atmega8A and 8x8 dot matrix display. Looking for finished done project.

Hello guys. I'm new here.
I want to use my Atmega8A to display characters on 8x8 led matrix display 1088bs.
If it's necessary I also have MAX7219 but i would prefer to connect matrix directly to uC.
I am looking for schematic and program. Scrolling text would be perfect.

I know that i shouldn't ask you for done project but I don't know how to write a program.
I want to make that 4 my girlfriend.

Sorry for my bad English, I'm from Poland.
