Hello everybody.

I am currently trying to fix a battery charger and traced the fault back to a faulty varistor.
My problem is, that I cannot figure out the details of this particular device.
I tried to find a standard for varistor labelling and checked various sites for the model number - no luck so far.

Maybe someone can give me a hint where to look....

It is a disk type varistor with 8mm diameter.
Here is a picture of this little fella:

B
R1.10
7321S

Hi,

Look for
B = BOURNES
R1.10 = MF-R series resettable fuse with 1.10A holding current
7321S = year 2007, day 321, China

https://www.bourns.com/data/global/pdfs/mfr.pdf

A hint to find out wether varistor or fuse:
Varistors usually are in parallel to load, switch, ...
But fuses are in series with load

Klaus

Many thanks, Klaus!

I have never expected this to be a fuse...
Thanks for setting me on the right track :thumbsup:
