Hi Everyone,

i have a query regarding the setting in encounter,
in my design i have some hard macros, in the macros, power pins are vertically routed in M4 across(vertically covers entire the design ) the design with some specific width.
when i am reading Macro LEF in to encounter, i am able to see the route but not their names. this is causing problem when i am routing power nets which will connect to these pins in my design.
is there any setting in encounter which enables viewing names of power pins of hard macros, (for signal pins (M2) its showing the names.)
Thanks in Advance :)

Regards
Shiva

in Layer Control, Miscellaneous, Pin Test should be selected.
either you could used the button "Q", in the bottom bar (beside number of selected element) to query the pin name.

Hi rca,

Thanks for the reply, i understood the comment "you could used the button "Q", in the bottom bar (beside number of selected element) to query the pin name." and its working nice, its giving pin name at the bottom bar. do we have any setting which will display pin name on the pin itself.

i couldn't find the Miscellaneous tab below the layers, just its ending with top layer, i checked in "All Colors", in that too its not available, in all colors tab "pin text" is enabled but its showing only for signal pins.
can you please tell me if i am checking in wrong option.

Regards
Shivag
