How big is maximum current per pin? In LVTTL it is said +/-24mA minimal. For testing purpose I want to connect LED diodes to FPGA structure, but there is no documented limitation of safe maximal current per pin (it is no so important) and per port (it may be important, because whole current goes thru Vcco pins and ground pins). So is there any limitations? Another question, I would like to add some high-current outputs to my module, I found quite cheap ULN2803/5 chips is it be apropriate?

please check the corresponding datasheet about themselves.

Accually data sheet ( **broken link removed** ) doesn't say if there are any limitations per port (not per pin) but I would take some precautions against overheating this gismo ..
So you can drive LEDs directly from pins but I would use low-power LEDs and make sure that you don't turn them on all at once ..

For higher currents you can use the ULN2803/5 drivers ..
