hi..
i m making a project in which i need to extract the longitude and latitude from GPS frame.
The problem is that i am unable to extract the $GPRMC frame through PIC 16f877A . but when i connect my GPS with PC , i can read the frame on hyperterminal. can you please help me out?
what could be the problem?

i m using proton ide for programming the PIC 16f877A and sim908 (GSM +GPS+GPRS) module.

what do you get when you connect the sim908 to the PIC16? some information? odd characters? nothing?
what baud rates are you using?

sim908 works on AT commands so when give AT+cgpsinf+32 to recieve the $GPRMC frame , it just stops there.
using 9600 baudrate.
