modelsim file opens another modelsim file

hello,

when i click on file to edit it in modelsim, it opens another new modelsim window, one after another continuously

can anybody help?

really? how does that come about?

it appears to be something with the software setting? i have also installed aldec active-hdl simulator could it be they are interfering each other?

it worked fined and suddenly happened? could be be flexld setting or something?
