Hii,

How to draw layout of capacitor using array.

Thanks

Hi

.. take a pencil in your hand.....

We don't have a crystal ball here to see what capacitor and what layout software you use.

Please give more information.

Klaus

Hii,
Thanks for your reply @klausST but i think the layout is software independent. I just want to know the basic principle of drawing layout using unit cells

Hi,

if you use a layout software then you should already have a library with capacitors.
Just take one that best fits your needs, copy the layout and change, add, copy....

There are so many experienced people.. but they only can help you when you exactely describe what you need.
There is an expert for almost any software and any problem...

Connect the MOS Terminals : Source and Drain to VDD and POLY to VSS .

Check : MOS as Capacitor .

What do you mean by "using arrays"? Do you mean drawing a cap array? In cadence layout, you can draw one unit cap first then select and copy them. Then before you paste them, press F3 and you will get a window where you can change the number of rows and columns that you want to paste.

Yes...i mean drawing a cap array. I am using Cadence Virtuoso Layout suite L.

Yes, then my reply shows the way to go. Another way is to use skill script to draw and connect the whole array. You can do it fast if you are familiar with it. Otherwise, just use the method I mentioned for a simple array.
