i made a design using CC3000 and Atmega382 micro controller ,
i need to test the CC3000 directly and see if it works well with the current board design.

The radio tool seemed to be the best solution , i thought i should just connect the module to the pc using the USB serial cable , as that much of info. was mentioned in the data sheet.

but later i noticed that the radio tool tutorial requires the MSP-EXP430FR5739 FRAM board , and there's no much info. about how the test is done or what exactly is the role of the FRAM board ,
is it for sending and receiving ? then what's the point of the UART connection on WL_RS232_TX and WL_RS232_RX ???
or is it for another purpose ?
For initializing ?? but there was no info about initializing in the datasheet either , except for setting normal mode and test mode.
The tutorial and the datasheet gives nearly no details on how that test UART connection works or the kind of data is sends ,
the same goes for "CC3000 logger" , the information was so vague to me , it says its a logger for the driver and firmware , but what firmware ?
i don't remember the CC3000 datasheet said any thing about having firmware at the first place !!!!
and the article on the wiki said how to receive the log data , but i didn't find anything about the meaning of this binary data that i should receive!!!

i just need to test the module in my circuit directly , and t bypass the atmega and send and receive using pc directly.

please is there any document i missed about this topic ?? or any one here has experience with this tool ?
any help will be appreciated

best regards
