Hi! I am using Raspberry Pi for a project. To supply energy I use 10 AA batteries serially connected to one another with 5v regulator. To provide connection between Pi and batteries I use a mini usb cable one side connected to Pi and one side connected to battery pack. While working properly all of a sudden Pi shut down. I saw there was a problem with connection to the battery pack. After that to make Pi work I used ordinary mini usb cable to supply energy directly from the plug(similar to a cell phone charger) not the one I use with the battery pack. Pi did not boot and only the red light was on. Not to damage Pi I have not used it since. At this point what should I do ? Should I wait or Pi gone completely? Any suggestion is much appreciated.

With the batteries, how long did the PI run?

What exactly did you use, after the batteries? Does it have a voltage indicated on it?
