Hi
I wanted to use LM35 temperature sensor . The range is from -55 degree celsius to 150 degree celsius.

I want to interface it with ADC 0804 for converting analog voltage into digital output.

ADC has 8 bit resolution.

How do I choose the reference voltage and how to do calculations for reading the complete voltage range.

The output voltage of LM35 increase by 10mV/degree Celsius

Please Advice

Often we choose reference voltage half of the power supply. Let say +5v is the Vcc and and resistor of 5k is tied to the Vcc and reference voltage and another 5k is tied to again reference voltage and to the ground means 2 resistors of 5k are making voltage divider.

In order to calculate the complete range of voltages you need to use your circuit in which you are trying to use it. if you are using opamp then you should know how to calculate its voltage in a specific configuration either inverting or noninverting.
