I have a treadmill at my home. From some time the treadmill turns off after 10 to 15 minutes automatically. I can see the display LEDs going dim before it stops working. It powers up again if I turn it ON again after 15 - 20 minutes. Now this problem is coming after every 3-4 minutes.

What can be the reason for this, are there some capacitors which may have charging problem??? How can I fix it?

I got is solved...... There was a voltage regulators overheating and thermally turning off in the operation panel......

The overheating was not the problem, the problem was the thermal protection which was turning it off prematurely (I think). This might have been caused by some internal damage to the regulator. When I put a thermal probe, the old regulator turned the output off at 66 C, which it should not. The replaced regulator was working fine at 77 C temperature at heat sink ( the original temperature would have been more inside ). The regulator temperature stabilized itself at 76-77 C fro more than 30 minutes. I thinks this happened due to rise in temperature in this part of planet, and lack of ventilation on the operator panel........ Thanks for your hint..

There are some that would appreciate a treadmill turning off after 15 minutes - me for one :)
