I have some questions and need some help related to following task .
The task is to communicate a personnel computer and an inverter ( VFD ,used for controlling induction motor speed ) .
My questions are following ,kindly answer me :
1) Which Software should i use for communicating these two devices ?
2) A personnel computer uses Rs232C standard while inverter uses Rs485 standard .Should i use a converter ( Rs232 to Rs485 converter ) in between computer and inverter?
3)What are the voltage levels for Rs232 and Rs485 standard ?
