How to measure input ac voltage using pic16f685?.if there is any example c code there..

Re: Measuring ac voltage

Which compiler you are using. sample program available in your installation location itself...

If you want to measure average voltage, you need to rectify the AC in to measurable DC level (0-5V DC). Connect the DC voltage to the ADC input & you can get the corresponding digital value.
If you need RMS voltage, convert the AC into DC & take multiple number of samples & find the root mean square value...
what type measurement you need?

Re: Measuring ac voltage

Thank you for your reply,i am using micro c pro c compiler. Then i want give ac signal to adc pin, that is ac voltage range is 0-0.852mv(max) how read read this ac voltage in adc pin .Then i need to measure RMS voltage..

hello,

What frequency ?
is it only positive signal 0 to 0.825mV so 825µV ??
so an average DC composante exist ?

you will need very big Analog amplifier in front of PIC ADC input ..
or maybe with a 18bits Analog converter like MCP3424
but take care about frequency !
