So, what's your opnion on the future of verification tools after this acquisition

It will be interesting to see...till knoe cadence for pusing for SystemC ( ncsim - veriklog xl integrated with system C ) for verification, but with this acquisition Cadence might push both of them of kill one in the long run. As of kow Verisity is generating a revenue of $180 millions and big chip companies like Intel, Motorolo , TI and companies like Cisco etc are still using Specman in their projects. Relatively the number of users of specman or more compared to SystemC.

I think both Specman and SystemC will be driven by Cadence.
Best part is we can think of getting Specman along with Incisive package.

Cheers,
Gold_kiss

I think specman and systemc is powerful,
but for future, design and verification use signal language---systemverilog will be advanced!!

SystemC and Specman will be further strong!!!

SystemC will be strong in future.

Cadence will be a lot stronger!

What is the newest version of Specman?

I was surprised, because the Verisity was the leader of verification process automation solutions. It has generated a revenue of $170-180 millions!
What is clear is that the Cadence has improved its verification flow in a digital design flow, and if it can modify the synthesis flow it will be the most powerful leader of EDA Tools.
On my opinion, SystemVerilog will be advanced because of hardware concepts.

Regards,
KH

I don't think cadence will support systemverilog, and Now verilog2005 will out , it may give our supprise.

I thinks Cadence will acquire CoWare next step.

no doubt cadence will be much stronger
