Hi friends, i am planning to do a project in image processing. I wish to do a real time project since doing the same in software is common. So, i decided to use a DSP processor and burn the MATLAB code to the processor. A camera interface will capture images and process according to the burned code. I need a video/ image output from the processor in any compatible format. But i don't have any idea about all these. I don't know which DSP i should select and also the camera. Waiting for a reply. Thanks in advance.

Try some object tracking papers in MATlab.

When I was doing image processing, I did all algorithm test and implementation on MATLAB to just check the quality of the algorithm, output performance, and measuring the simplicity of the algorithm itself. and then I implemented everything on FPGA. I am not sure how efficient MATLAB's Library is, but my gut feel says it couldn't be amd you would see lack of performance if you go the combination of MATLAB ported code to DSP Microcontroller.

Hi there
For me ,i usually do the image processing using an image processor. It supports to capture images and process according to the burned code. But you said that you need a video/ image output from the processor in any compatible format. That is a little bit strange for me.I am not so good at image processing. And it will be difficult for me if there is no image program. So why not you try an image program ?
They offer some tutorial for it.
