I have a mobile charger rated 5v, 500mA. I want to find out current distributed by this charger so if I place a series resistor (don't worry about resistor value) with a Ammeter it give current less than 500mA because of resistor so how I get this 500mA value. How manufacturers give this current value and how to verify it using Ammeter or any formula.

5V doesn't correspond to any particular common battery voltage....eg one lithium is about 4.2V......

I reckon the "charger" you speak of is just a dumb 5V power supply, with a maximum current rating of 500ma.......the actual charger is in your phone....and it will regulate the current...yu cannot adjust this unless you open your hone up but its not recommended.
